Traditional Cork Flooring:
Very resilient and durable, cork flooring holds up well under heavy foot traffic. With the addition of a polyurethane finish, it holds up even better. With proper care and maintenance, a cork floor from Expanko can last indefinitely. Proper care and maintenance of this flooring consists only of sweeping and damp mopping occasionally.
Depending on the environment, it may be necessary to reply a polyurethane finish every 2 to 6 years. A wax finish may be used as an alternative to polyurethane. The different tile shades of Expanko's natural cork are produced through a unique baking process, without dyes or stains.
XCR4 Cork Rubber Flooring:
XCR4 flooring is made from a blend of recycled cork and rubber. It combines the benefits of these two components creating a colorful, water resistant, hardwearing floor. Benefits of XCR4 include resilience, comfort, sound reducing qualities and slip-resistance. It is available in a color palate that includes earthy neutrals, jewel tones and brights, which meet the needs of both commercial and residential installations.
XCR4 is an excellent choice for a variety of types of installations, including; restaurants, sports facilities, hospitals, corporate, hospitality, child care, aged care, education, auditoriums, kitchens, bathrooms, locker rooms, corridors, access ramps, and transportation.
Reztec Rubber Flooring:
Reztec flooring is made from a blend of recycled tire, post industrial waste and colored rubber granules. By combining these materials, Expanko has created a beautiful yet durable and easy to maintain floors. Reztec benefits also include its environmental properties, resilience, comfort, slip-resistance and sound reducing qualities. Reztec is available in a variety of standard colors and as well as custom colors.
Reztec’s durability is due to the high strength of the rubber as well as the fact that rubber resists scratches and gouges due to its resilience. To further improve the wear characteristics, Expanko has formulated Reztec to have the highest density of any comparable product on the market.
Reztec flooring has been designed for use in heavy traffic commercial installations where a resilient, durable and easy to maintain floor is desired. Reztec is made using a high density combination of post consumer, post industrial and virgin rubber. Reztec is maintained with regular damp mopping and periodic buffing if desired. Expanko recommends coating the floor with a mop on acrylic emulsion finish to further protect and enhance the floor. The floor will typically need to be resealed twice per year. This procedure can be performed within a few hours.
Vallarex Glueless Cork Floating Floor System:
Vallarex Cork Floating Floor from Expanko offers the beauty of cork with the ease and versatility of a glueless installation. Cork is natural, resilient, quiet, comfortable, durable, and easy to maintain. Vallarex starts with quality raw materials, hand harvested from the cork oak tree in the Mediterranean region of Europe. Expanko uses high-density fiberboard to add strength and durability to the core of the floor plank and has a cork underlayment as the bottom layer of the plank. Vallarex can be installed in many residential installations as well as select commercial applications.
Vallarex is offered in nine 12” x 36” patterns. The Amber and Cordovan patterns have stained color applied with the water-based matte polyurethane; all other patterns are natural cork shades finished with the same polyurethane. Cork, like wood, has shade variations that add to the beauty and character of the floor. It can be installed over many hard surfaces including concrete, plywood, vinyl and hardwood floors that are installed over plywood. |
