Decorative surfacing refers to
a large group of products which are typically laminated to cabinets,
countertops, wall panels or any form of casework. While the most
common may be high pressure laminates, or HPL, an increasing number
of materials and manufacturing techniques have enlarged the number
of affordable designer choices. Some surfaces, such as dry erase
laminates, serve special purposes though most fill a design need
first while meeting some performance standard.Abet Laminati®,
Abet Diafos®, Braewood®, Brookline®, NuMetal® & MirroFlex® are all

Laminati® Plastic
Laminates -
With over 400 colors in stock, Abet
is as easy to specify as any domestic laminate available. While best
known for their wide and bold range of solid colors, Abet produces
some truly unique items such as Diafos translucent melamine and
Tefor recycled laminates as well as a superior white magnetic dry
erase laminate. |
Braewood®
Wood Veneers from Brookside - Manufactured from
natural wood fibers, Braewood is a composite, or man-made veneer.
Advantages are; being defect free, unparalleled consistency in grain and color, low waste and
it's as easy
as plastic laminate for any contractor to fabricate. Great for contract and residential furniture, speakers, ceilings,
architectural woodworking, and door manufacturing. |
Brookline®
Wood Veneers From Brookside - Like Braewood , Brookline is a
composite veneer. Brookline is more flexible and has more backing
options, such as paper, wood or Polyflex, which usually mean a lower
cost. Specifying Brookline also allows contractor to choose the best
backing option for the job resulting in greater efficiency and cost
savings. |
NuMetal®
Metal Laminates - NuMetal™ features aluminum, copper or
stainless steel clad high pressure laminates in polished and brushed
finishes and various embossed surfaces in a wide assortment of
designs and color combinations. NuMetal™ fabricates like standard
high pressure laminates and most have phenolic backing. Special
features like hand painting, acid etching and distressing are also
used. |
MirroFlex®
Plastic Laminates -
MirroFlex is a high impact plastic
with a decorative top surface. MirroFlex is
available in hundreds of design and color combinations such as
polished and brushed metallics, woodgrains, marbles, granites,
specialty finishes and solid colors. Interior and exterior grades,
vacuum formable and scratch resistant grades, 1st or second surface
laminates, 3-D design and more available. |
MirroFlex®
Structures 3D Laminates - A rare combination of affordability and 3-dimensional surfacing.
The result of thermoforming MirroFlex high impact plastic sheets
into many patterns, such as diamond plate. The look can be
contemporary, industrial or classic. Great for retail projects or
anywhere a dimensional look is desired. Lightweight, affordable
plastic ceiling tiles are
made from the same process. |
